Words to Eat by…Enjoy Every Bite
Every Tuesday I email the people on my list who want to learn from me, and I send them “Two Tip Tuesday”! This is a short email with two important tips for them to add to their healthy eating/healthy living arsenal. This week, I sent them this advice…Words to Eat by…Enjoy Every Bite!
Your first tip today is to eat healthfully most of the time. Avoid sugary processed food and go for healthy salads and small amounts of lean protein and fresh vegetables. That may sound like a no-brainer, but it sets you up for your second tip.
Tip number two is, when you go off the rails, enjoy every bite of what you’re eating. Leave your conscience at home and savor every morsel of that pizza, every taste of that ice cream. Be extremely present with your food. There’s nothing more counterproductive than deciding to have something you have been wanting but know is not in your best interest to eat and wolfing it down without being mindful of it.
If you’re good most of the time, you can do this and get right back on track, so enjoy every bite!
I speak from experience on this. I’m really good and eat very healthfully… most of the time. Once in a while, I’ll have a bit of something I love but that I know doesn’t love me back for my long-term health. When I eat it though, I make sure to savor it and enjoy every bit of it!”
